Update on release date for new Oleander CD

Hey guys and gals,

After many e-mails to Thomas.......asking, begging, pleading for some news as to an approximate release date for the new cd he finally" let the cat out of the bag", so to speak, and told me it that "it looks like the end of summer". Of course like all of us on here, I am anxiously awaiting the new material. And if you are anything like me you just want to know WHEN! So that's it! He updated me after much prodding and now I am updating all of you!

I think we have to be a bit realistic about the release date. While it would be nice to think that the CD will be out at the end of the summer (meaning technically before September 21st), it won't be. Were that the case, we would have already heard something about a single, a radio-add date. Simply put, we'd have a lot more information than we already do. If the album doesn't come out in September or October, they'll likely wait until next year - probably March or so. If you notice, popular albums usually are released between March and June or between August and October.

When you consider that acts like to tour immediately following the release of the CD, this makes sense. If Oleander are trying to put themselves back in the public consciousness after a long absence, it would make the most sense to release the CD during the peak times that I mentioned. So, long story short, unless a miracle happens and we start getting more album news soon, we probably won't see the album before March of next year.

I am truly not a pessimist by any means (though this post might indicate otherwise) but I've just seen this process happen so many times before and been disappointed so much with this type of thing that I don't want anyone else to get their hopes up too much...especially seeing as we have so little information about the new album thus far. Having said all that -- let's hope that it does come out this year! Much love, everyone.

At this point, since the band is not signed, hearing about a radio add-date is a long shot. Radio stations don't usually play unsigned artists. As far as more information goes remember, right now, this is basically a grass roots thing. We're getting information as soon as the band sees fit to release it to us (not when the label thinks we're ready to hear about it). I'm a little leery about getting excited for a summer release, especially since I don't think they've even completed recording all of the songs, but as long as it eventually comes out, that's the most important thing.

Hey I just made this account to post some new info...

Actually the album is due out this summer... They have one more recording date down here in Socal....
My dad has a deal with ZRock and they will be playing a new song off of there summer in July.. They have 9 songs done with a total of 12.. They are going to give my dad their top 5 songs, he will pick and my dad will get it aired shortly...

You dont have to believe me.. but I know.. we have grown up with the guys since they were in kindergarten..
